Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Periodontal means around the tooth, usually referring to gum. Periodontal disease is thus a gum infection that destroys the attachment fibres and supporting bone that hold your teeth in your mouth. Dental plaque is the main cause of periodontal disease.
The goal of periodontal treatment is to stop the progression of disease, return you to good oral health and then to help you maintain it. A detailed diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning and coopoeration from the client is required to cure gum disease.
